Arizona Public Service (APS) announced it may activate its Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) on Saturday due to the extreme, dry conditions.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), winds are forecast for 21 to 26 mph with gusts as high as 44 mph. With the high near 81, a Fire Weather Watch will be in effect from 11 a.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Sunday for essentially all of northern Arizona.
