Local soccer coach Michael Blair has done a lot of winning over his time in Flagstaff. The longtime Northland Prep girls soccer coach has led high-caliber teams across the high school and club levels. This summer, in his final season coaching in club, Blair is taking a Flagstaff youth soccer team to a national championship tournament for the first time.
The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) United AZ North 2009 girls team is heading to the U.S. Youth Soccer Girls National Championships in Tennessee this July. The U17 tournament, which runs from July 13 to 23 in Murfreesboro and Smyrna, just outside of Nashville, brings together the nation’s best youth teams.
