FGSLL All-Star 11s fight smoky conditions and late comeback to make district championship

The Flagstaff Girls Softball All-Star 11s battled the elements and a Page Little League team that began to mount a comeback during an elimination game in the Arizona State Softball Little League District 1 Tournament on Wednesday at Continental Park.

The All-Star 11s fended off Page in a rematch of the tournament opener, 11-7, to advance to the championship round of the three-team tournament. The win knocked Page out, despite it beating Flagstaff on Monday, 16-10. Flagstaff All-Star 11s head coach Tim Miller said the team was much more prepared the second time around.
