City of Flagstaff approves first reading of updates to short-term rental licensing

The Flagstaff City Council approved updates to its short-term rental code.

The update increases the registration fee from $185 to $250 and adds new requirements for those operating short-term rentals (STRs) in the city. These changes will go into effect on July 1, if approved. The first reading was unanimously approved by city council on May 5 and the second reading is expected at the May 19 meeting.
