Fate of abandoned Flagstaff hotel uncertain as litigation drags on

The plywood hulk at 2000 E. Route 66 that was once supposed to be a hotel continues to sit empty and decaying as the property owner, general contractor and subcontractors battle over unpaid bills in Coconino County Superior Court.

Though former Superior Court judge Brent Harris ordered the property to be auctioned last year, that doesn’t appear to have happened: D Flag T LLC, the Texas-registered corporation run by Jagmohan Dhillon and his wife Amandeep Dhillon, still owns the parcel. Per the Coconino County Assessor’s records, no property taxes have been paid for the parcel since June 2024 — which is also when D Flag T stopped paying invoices from the builders.
