The Flagstaff Girls Softball Little League All-Star 10s went a perfect 4-0 en route to winning the Arizona State Little League District 1 championship at Mountain Meadows Park in Pinetop-Lakeside. Flagstaff secured its spot in the state tournament with a win in the district title game against Winslow on Monday, 6-2.
Three of Flagstaff’s four wins in the tournament came by four runs, with the one outlier being a 10-5 win in Friday’s semifinal game, also against Winslow. The tournament runner-up defeated Silver Creek in the losers bracket final, 19-8, to get another crack at Flagstaff.
