Just as Flagstaff reached 90 degrees for the first time this year, the first chance at measurable precipitation in July also arrives this weekend.
According to measurements at the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport, the city has not received measurable rainfall in 25 days. The total of 0.14 inches recorded on June 13-14 has been the only precipitation the city has seen in the past 45 days. Meanwhile, the total of 13.67 inches for the water year is now just 0.21 ahead of normal and the calendar year’s 4.49 inches is 4.00 inches below normal as of July 9.
