The No. 7-ranked Flagstaff softball Eagles honored its four seniors on a rare Saturday afternoon game in style. The top team in the Grand Canyon Region took it to the No. 30 American Leadership Academy – Queen Creek Patriots, 11-1, in a five-inning run rule in Flagstaff’s second home outing in three days.
The Eagles once again got off to a hot start, plating five runs in the opening frame. Their five runs across the final two innings were just enough to put them up double-digits to end the game. Flagstaff manager Tommy Hernandez said wins like these set his team up for the main goal ahead.
