Letter to the Editor: Big Texan a blast from the past

Hail Big Texan! What a blast from the past! Amarillo was a must-stop, although neither my Dad nor I pretended to be able to touch the giant steak. Being a childhood sci-fi freak, however, my favorite place in Amarillo was the Helium Monument. Since then, I’ve learned of a beautiful canyon to the south (Palo Duro) that I hope to visit someday.
