As a citizen of Flagstaff since 1968, it saddens us that NAU is in an enrollment decline, even though it has been long predicted. The hit to our city’s economy will be substantial, made much worse by our president’s decision to make it much more difficult for international students to attend the classes in the 50 states.
Having destroyed the relationship with almost all our allies, the usual number of Canadian students will be way down as well many other students from western Europe. What a time! Why in the world would one want to come to the state where one of the two candidates for governor has participated in a fraudulent scheme to use fake voters, and publicly announces that Trump won the 2020 election?
