Letter to the Editor: Why celebrating 250 is important to me

I am 10 years old and celebrating the 250th anniversary of America is important to me.

The first reason is that it celebrates 250 years of freedom. Before we were under control by King George III. Then the Declaration of Independence freed us from King George. It also gave us a right to make our own country and to not be ruled over by a king or queen.
