The Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) recently released its high school flag football schedules for the upcoming 2026 season. Flag football, played in the fall sports season, was introduced as a sponsored sport by the AIA in 2023.
Flagstaff and Coconino High School will each begin their seasons on Sept. 15, with the two converging for a city rivalry game on Oct. 29 at Cromer Stadium. The flag football rivalry game will serve as a preview to the boys tackle football rivalry game, which will be played the following day on Oct. 30 at Coconino High School.
