National Weather Service issues Red Flag Warning for all of northern Arizona

Having already issued a Fire Weather Watch across much of northern Arizona on Tuesday for the upcoming weekend, the National Weather Service (NWS) upgraded that to a Red Flag Warning on Friday.

Beginning on Friday at 11 a.m., the Red Flag Warning runs until 8 p.m. on Sunday. A wind advisory is also in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday as southwestern winds are expected to be between 15 and 25 mph throughout the day, with gusts as high as 45 mph.
