Utilizing nearly $16,000 of its community initiative funds in the past few weeks, the Coconino County Board of Supervisors continued to grow its support of the Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival’s senior program and assisted with the centennial celebration for Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel.
Ahead of the chapel’s 100-year anniversary, a total of $8,500 was provided for the creation of a mural, collage, artwork and a multimedia presentation through a partnership with Quetzalli Education Consulting LLC. Split among four districts, $5,000 was provided by District 2, $2,000 by District 1, $1,000 by District 5 and $500 from District 3.
