Jared Dillon Turquoise, 28, was sentenced to 18 years in prison on Friday, July 24, for fatally stabbing his then-girlfriend’s 16-year-old brother outside their home in Page in November 2025.
Turquoise pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in May, and his plea agreement stipulated a sentence of no less than 14 years and no more than 18 years. After listening to statements from the victim’s family members, Turquoise, and the attorneys, Judge Ted Reed of the Coconino County Superior Court ultimately ruled that aggravating factors in the case outweighed mitigating factors, and imposed the maximum sentence permitted by the plea.
