New Habitat director moves from food to shelter

Flagstaff resident Ricardo De La Torre started his journey by going to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore for cheap materials to fix frozen pipes.

While there, he filled out an application to qualify to own a Habitat for Humanity home, which requires “sweat equity” by the applicant in tandem with an army of volunteer builders.
