The Flagstaff City Council will not take up a citizen petition that sought to reverse the recent council decision to rename the city’s three-block-long Columbus Avenue.
Forty-three people signed the petition. Brent Hulls — who was not one of the signatories — spoke before the council on Tuesday, June 9. However, the petition did not receive the required support of three councilmembers to be placed on a future council agenda for substantive discussion.
