Megan Eckert: Rounding out a Cocodona women’s podium for the ages

This year’s Cocodona 250 sported one of the most loaded fields in the race’s six-year history. Since 2021, some of the world’s best and bravest ultrarunners have assembled to race from Black Canyon City to Flagstaff’s Heritage Square. While Rachel Entrekin became the first woman to win the race outright, those who tailed her to the very end brought forth their own race stories.

Mount to Coast, a performance running shoe brand that sponsors ultra runners, had a particularly strong showing. Six of the top 10 finishers wore the shoe brand.
