Police are searching for two men suspected of attacking another man with a machete earlier this morning in the Sunnyside neighborhood.
According to the victim, he was targeted by the two suspects because of prior confrontation between the three men.
He explained to the police officers that the two suspects tracked him down, confronted him and then began attacking him with the machete.
The victim sustained serious injuries to his face, head, back, and also to one of his legs as a result of the attack.
One suspect has been identified by the Flagstaff Police Department as 19-year-old Andrew James Jaurequi of Flagstaff and is believed to be driving a yellow 1991 four-door Cadillac.
The second suspect has not been positively identified at this time and is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s and stands approximately 5’10 to 6 feet tall.
This suspect goes by the name of “Sauce,” and could be driving a 1990s model four-door Cadillac blue in color.
These two suspects are to be considered armed and dangerous.
