Young and aspiring ultra runners in Flagstaff have made history in the sport across the state over the past year. Eli Straub, a 15-year-old student at Coconino High School, recently pulled off one of the most inspiring feats a teenager could accomplish.
Straub became the youngest person to ever finish the Sedona Canyons 125 last month. He finished the race from Jerome to Flagstaff with a time of 57:46:55, good for 200th overall and 130th in the male division. For Straub, the time was a milestone for him, but finishing the race was the main objective.
