National Weather Service issues Fire Weather Watch for Flagstaff on Sunday

The National Weather Service issued a Fire Weather Watch for Flagstaff while a Red Flag Warning was issued for portions of northern Arizona to the west, including Grand Canyon Village.

Announced Thursday night, the watch for the Flagstaff area and much of the rest of northern Arizona begins at 10 a.m. on Sunday through 8 p.m. The watch was issued due to the forecast of 15 to 25 mph southwest winds with gusts up to 45 mph. The relative humidity is also expected to be between 9 and 16%.
