Letter to the Editor: Regional Plan up for vote deemed ‘fiscally irresponsible’

Flagstaff voters should strongly reject Question 492 and the proposed Regional Plan 2045.

This plan is fiscally irresponsible. The city has already deferred nearly $600 million in critical infrastructure maintenance — including over $500 million for fire and police facilities and $100 million for the water treatment plant. Instead of fixing these urgent problems, the plan adds an estimated $600 million in new costs onto taxpayers.
