For a fifth consecutive season, the Coconino Panthers will be among the 4A Conference’s final 16 teams standing.
Finishing at No. 10 in the conference rankings, the Panthers (14-5) found themselves in the play-in round for the first time during its current run of postseason appearances. Though Coconino needed the additional game to secure its spot in the official bracket, senior Jade Sandoval ensured the outcome was never in doubt as the Panthers beat the No. 23 Saguaro Sabercats (7-12) on Wednesday afternoon.
