The Flagstaff Eagles kept their perfect season at home intact on Wednesday as postseason play began.
It took a late rally by the No. 10 Eagles (16-3) to secure the 4-1 victory in their 4A Conference play-in game against No. 23 Deer Valley (12-7) at Eagle Field. Flagstaff scored two runs in the fifth inning after Deer Valley tied the game at 1-1, and added an insurance run in the sixth.
